Management
The Fund’s management team is led by Forster Buabeng, who is assisted by a team of eight highly analytical and experienced managers who help to manage the fund.
Foster Buabeng (CEO/Fund Administrator)
Foster is the CEO/Fund Administrator of Teachers Fund. He initially served the Fund in the capacity of Head, Accounts Department from 2002 to 2012. Prior to joining the Fund, he held various Accounts and Audit roles at Golden Neo-Life Diamite (2000 – 2001), Cashpro Company Ltd (1998 – 2000), and Deloitte & Touche (1996 – 1998).
He holds an MBA Finance Degree from the University of Ghana Business School and is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) Ghana.
Joseph Ameyaw (Chief Internal Auditor)
Joseph Ameyaw is the Chief Internal Auditor (CIO) of Teachers Fund. He joined the Fund as the Head of Finance in September 2014. Prior to his appointment with the Fund, Mr. Ameyaw was Finance Manager at FirstbanC Financial Services from June 2013 to August 2014. He worked with Ecobank Accion Savings and Loans as Finance Manager from December 2008 to May 2013 and as Senior Finance Officer from June 2007 to November 2008.

He was engaged by Ecobank Accion from November 2006 to May 2007 as Senior Internal Auditor. Prior to joining Ecobank Accion, Mr. Ameyaw was a Loan Officer from November 2005 to April 2007. He started his career as an Auditor with KPMG in September 2004.

He holds an MBA Finance Degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration and BSc. Administration (Banking and Finance) from the University of Ghana, Legon. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK and a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments, UK.
Yaw Owusu Dapaah (Chief Risk Officer)
Yaw Owusu Dapaah is currently the Chief Risk Officer of the Teachers’ Fund. He has about 17years working experience, 9years of which have been spent in the Banking Industry.
Prior to joining Teachers Fund, Yaw was the Head of Retail Support at Bank of Africa – Ghana. He had earlier handled other roles within the Bank of Africa-Ghana and Amalbank Limited group such as Branch Manager – Ridge Branch, Branch Manager – Spintex Branch and as Head – Credit Monitoring Unit. Earlier in his working life, Yaw also worked with Prudential Bank Limited and Guinness Ghana Limited as a Credit Officer and Territory Manager respectively.
Yaw is a graduate of the University of Salford in Manchester-UK where he obtained an MSc in Corporate Risk Management in 2007. He also has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree obtained from the University of Cape Coast in 2001.
Yaw is also an old student of Prempeh College where he did his ‘O’ Level and ‘A’ Level in 1994 and 1996 respectively.
Alfred Dela Agudetse (Chief Operations Officer)
Alfred Dela Agudetse graduated from the University of Ghana, Legon in June 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (Accounting Option). He qualified as Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) in May 2005 and was admitted as a member of the Institute in December 2005.
He had his Masters in Business Administration at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, Legon in December 2013 where he emerged as the overall best student – Finance Option.
He was the Head of Internal Audit of Teachers Fund from 2008 to 2023 and currently the Chief Operations Officer. Having worked as an Audit Manager with the Social Security and National Insurance Trust from April 1996 to June 2008. He also worked with the then VAT Project now under the Domestic Tax Revenue Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority from October 1994 to March 1996 as a Revenue Officer with the Tax Audit Unit. He was a member of the Audit Report Implementation Committee (ARIC) of the Ghana Civil Service and Ghana Prisons Service from July 2007 to December 2016.
Alfred Dela Agudetse is very analytical and is a proven professional with extensive experience in auditing governance, risk and compliance processes. He is dedicated and self-motivated with a track record of ensuring the economical/efficient use of resources.Â
He has exceptional work ethics and team player attitude.
Kweku Acquah (Head of Marketing)
Kweku Acquah is the Head of Marketing and is responsible for the Fund’s Marketing and Communication function. He is also in charge of the Fund’s Customer Service Unit.
He is an Organization Development practitioner and an experienced Marketer. Before joining the Teachers’ Fund, he worked with Sigma Development Associates as a Consultant. Kweku also trained as a facilitator/trainer with Sigma and the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) Business Advisory Centre at Cape Coast.
Kweku Acquah holds an MBA (Marketing) and BSc. (Marketing) from the University of Ghana Business School.
Rosemary Essah Aboagye (Head, HR & Admin)
Rosemary Essah-Aboagye heads the Human Resource and Administration Department of the Fund. She holds a BA Honours Degree in Psychology and an MPhil degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Ghana.Â
She is also a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners Ghana. Rosemary has varied experience from different industries.
Kwamina Awotwi (Head of IT Department)
Kwamina Baffoe Awotwi is a Certified Professional Oracle Applications Database Administer with over 17 years of experience working with various Oracle products and technologies.
A Computer Science and Mathematics graduate of the University of Ghana, Kwamina worked as an Oracle technical consultant for 14yrs with ProVision Consultants Ltd from October 2001 to December 2015 before joining Teachers’ Fund of GNAT. During his time at ProVision Consultants Ltd Mr. Awotwi worked on various Oracle projects in various capacities.
 He was the technical lead consultant for the implementation of an Oracle ERP solution for Graphic Communications Group Ltd (January 2014 – Dec 2015), the implementation of Oracle HRMS for Electricity Company of Ghana (January 2013 – November 2013), phase 2 of the implementation of an Integrated Personnel and Payroll Database (IPPD2) for the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (May 2005 – Oct 2006) just to name a few.
Kwamina joined Teachers’ Fund of GNAT in December 2015 as the Head of the IT Department and is currently the Project Manager for the implementation of an Oracle ERP solution for the Fund and its three subsidiaries.
Joshua Lomotey(Chief Finance Officer)
Mr.Joshua Lomotey is a chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.
Mr. Lomotey holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) in Finance from the University of Ghana, Legon and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the Methodist University College Ghana.
He worked at Joseph Hyde and Co. (now Lobban Hyde), an audit firm, as an Audit Trainee and later moved to PKF, another auditing firm, where he worked as an Accountant Trainee.
Joshua also worked as Accounts Manager at Ghana Carton Boxes Manufacturing Company Limited and Graphicolor Printing Limited where he set up accounting systems for these two companies.
Mr. Lomotey joined Teachers Fund in February 2010 and he is currently the Chief Finance Officer of the Fund.
Taufique Alabi Ussif (Head of Operation Department)
Mr. Taufique Alabi Ussif joined the Fund in 2010. He rose through the ranks from Customer Service Officer, Data Monitoring Officer to becoming the team Lead for Member Contributions & Exit/ Retirement.
Mr, Alabi is the current Head of Operations with oversight responsibility on Contributions, Membership and Exit/Retirement payouts.
He is a Chartered Accountant and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants-Ghana.
He holds a Master Degree (MBA) in Corporate Governance from the University of Professional Studies and Bachelors Degree (B.A) in Political Science from the University of Ghana.
